In 1997 Sand in Taufers, the municipality of Ahrntal to Steinhaus and the remaining part of Rasen-Antholz followed. In 1998 the municipalities of Prettau and Mühlwald also joined. In the year 2000 the municipalities St. Vigil, Wengen and St. Martin in Thurn were connected.
